A retrospect
The company has its roots in the 1980s. It all started with the disposal of biologically clean home textiles for sleeping and cleaning systems. Sales were executed in Germany, Switzerland, Hungary and the former Czechoslowakia. The name EASTCON was used for the first time in the early 1990s.
In Germany, it is well known since 1996 after the Duport GmbH, which was founded in 1992, was renamed as EASTCON D Beteiligungsgesellschaft. Since March 30, 2007, the company operates under the name of EASTCON AG, based in Berlin and the Saxonian of Rochlitz.
Name
The name EASTCON is a combination of the word EAST and the fragment CON. EAST is to be taken literally in its meaning of an orientation and CON is the fragment of the verb 'to continue'.
The Name EASTCON therefore stands for our target to carry on developing the East European Markets, to establish our products and services and for the continuous erection and upgrading of our local distribution companies.
